1. Who this is about
This policy covers microhuv.live, operated as an independent website. microhuv is not affiliated with, and does not act on behalf of, any printer manufacturer, brand, retailer, repair company or software vendor. No such party receives information from this website and no such party is a data controller for it.
2. What this website collects
Nothing, by design. The pages are static files. Reading a guide involves your browser requesting HTML, one stylesheet, one script and a small number of inline vector graphics. There is no database behind this website and nothing you do here creates a record about you.
| Feature | Data used | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|
| Reading a page | Nothing. No identifier is created or stored | Nowhere |
| Light / dark theme toggle | One setting, stored in your browser's local storage | Stays on your device |
| Searching and filtering guides | Text you type, held in the page | Nowhere. It is not sent anywhere |
| Contact form | What you type, held in the page until you send it | Nowhere, unless you copy it into an email yourself |
| Analytics | Not used | — |
| Advertising | Not used at present | — |
| Third-party embeds | None. No fonts, videos, maps or widgets are loaded from other domains | — |
3. The one thing stored on your device
When you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is saved using your browser's local storage so the site remembers it next time. It is:
- A single preference value, such as
dark. - Stored on your device only, under the name
mh-theme. - Never transmitted to microhuv or to any other party.
- Removable at any time by clearing site data in your browser, or by using the theme toggle.
This is browser local storage, not a cookie, and it cannot identify you or be used to follow you between websites.
4. Cookies
microhuv sets no cookies of its own, and reads none set by other sites. Your browser may store standard technical items such as a cache entry for the stylesheet; these are created by the browser, not by us, and carry no information about you that we can read.
5. Hosting and server logs
The website is served from hosting infrastructure that, like any web host, records request logs for security and operational purposes. These logs commonly include the requested address, the time of the request, the browser's user-agent string and a network address. They are used to keep the site available, to block abuse and to investigate faults.
Retained periods and any use beyond these purposes are set by the hosting provider and are outside microhuv's direct control. If a specific provider and retention period apply, that will be stated here.
6. The contact form
The contact form is a static form. It performs all its work in your browser and has no server endpoint. When you press the button, your text is formatted and shown on the page so you can copy it into your own email client and send it yourself.
- Nothing you type is transmitted by the page.
- Nothing is stored after you leave or reload the page.
- If you do choose to email it, that message is then an email between you and the mailbox of the recipient, governed by your own email provider's privacy terms as well as this one.
7. Advertising
There is no advertising on microhuv at present. If advertising is introduced in future, this section will be updated before it goes live, and will state exactly what is used, which organisation operates it, and what data may be involved. Two commitments will not change:
- Advertising will never be placed inside a guide, between steps, or in the middle of an article.
- No guide will be written, changed or reordered because of an advertising relationship.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over personal data relating to you — including the right to ask what is held, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to object to processing it, and to complain to a supervisory authority.
Because microhuv does not operate accounts, does not run analytics, and does not have a user database, there is normally nothing held about you to exercise these rights against. If you have contacted us by email, you can ask us to delete that correspondence, and we will do so. Requests can be sent through the contact page.
9. Children
This website is intended for adults and is not directed at children. Since no information is collected from anyone, no information about children is collected either.
10. Transfers and processors
The website's files are served by a hosting provider, which processes technical request data on our behalf. If any other processor is involved in future, it will be listed here before it begins handling information. You can ask where data is processed through the contact page.
11. Security
The site is served over encrypted connections, contains no dynamic content, no login area and no database, and therefore has a very small surface area. No system is perfectly secure, and you should not send sensitive personal information through any web form, including this one.
12. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the website develops. The date at the top shows when it last changed. The version published on the site at the time you read it is the version that applies.
